Calling all Wales based Outdoor Arts Practitioners, Funders, Festivals and Venues....

The Great Outdoors is a unique networking event presented by Articulture Wales with support and input from Arts Council Wales, Independent Street Arts Network, National Theatre Wales, Walk The Plank, Citrus Arts, Emergency Exit Arts, and NoFitState Circus, Small World Theatre and South Wales Intercultural Community Arts (SWICA).

The event aim’s to spark ambitious new works across all outdoor art forms here in Wales, by providing a platform to network, share and develop ideas, access funding, and forge collaborations. This includes street theatre, carnival, procession, puppetry, circus, and arts installation.

The Great Outdoors is in two parts: 

Conference: Fri 12th Oct, 9.45am – 5pm, Y Plas, Machynlleth, Powys
The main event to network, share and develop ideas, access funding, and forge collaborations

Outdoor Adventure: Sat 13th Oct, 9.30am – 2pm, Various sites, Dyfi Valley, Powys
An additional optional event explore three potential new performance sites, which we aim to feature as a proposed follow-up event in May 2013

I guess all delegates/speakers etc have been advised the Friday event is now taking place at The Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth.

The police are continuing to use Y Plas community centre to coordinate the search for little April Jones.
