The Film Festival Guild is proud to announce the return of the Newport International Film Festival. Now in its 6th year, the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever with directors coming in from all over the globe for Q&As.
The festival is being held on Saturday 17th November at The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport, Wales.
The festival is pleased to be screening several films with Welsh ties. Amongst those films is The Anniversary starring Welsh TV actress, Heledd Baskerville, and showcasing the beautiful Aberystwyth. This year we will be screening several fantastic films made by students at the Newport Film School giving further exposure to budding Welsh talent.
We are excited to announce that the festival has directors flying in from all over the world to attend. We are thrilled that every single one of our features has cast and crew attending- this includes Lee Madsen and Tim Degraye the director and Executive Producer of our highest budget film HATED all the way from America! Some others include: Joshua Jones (USA/Make it a Great Day), Simon Baumgartner (Austria/Abgestempelt), Martin Sjolander (Sweden/VEM) plus loads of UK talent including Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt director of the feature "Before Dawn". Coming to the festival is a great opportunity to speak directly with some impressive filmmakers from across the globe!
The festival will be holding its after party at Newport's newest premier venue, Warehouse 54, located minutes from the Riverfront Arts Centre. Those attending the festival will gain free entry into the celebrations.
