It’s an act are pleased to announce that in October 2016 we will be producing the comedy drama Two by Jim Cartwright which takes place in a pub set in the South Wales valleys. The play has fourteen characters in total played by just “Two” actors.
The play centers around an action packed night in a pub, the range of different customers who frequent the bar and the relationship between them. Throughout the play you will witness a range of different characters which change the pacing of the play to a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows.
Two premiered at the Bolton Octagon in 1989, and opened at the Young Vic London in November 1990 to rave reviews.
‘The writing is brilliantly, surrealistically and comically poetic’ Sunday Times
‘This richly textured piece is an assured and highly entertaining show’ Independent
‘A sharply, salty, quickfire evocation of the surface gaiety and underlying melancholia of pub life’ Michael Billington, Guardian
