Event Description

‘Where I’m Coming’ from is a brand new, regular open mic series aimed predominantly, but not exclusively at the Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) population in Wales. This is our 4th pilot event, and we've had fantastic turnouts for each of them so far.
The night featured 3 writers, followed by an open mic, which anyone can sign up to on the night.

The featured writers are 3 really diverse and high energy writers:

Jafar Iqbal is a writer and a performer. Jafar is also the villain from Disney's Aladdin and the lesser-known Aladdin 2: The Return of Jafar. Jafar is also the name of a race of aliens in Stargate. Jafar is also a cake, but perhaps also a biscuit. Jafar may be one or all of these things, but he is almost certainly Jafar.

Nicko Shoid: Hailing from Surat, a city in Western India, Nicko Shoid is an Alumni of Fergusson College, Pune. Pursuing Journalism in Cardiff University he is a contributing author to an anthology and editor of some institutional magazines and newsletters. Apart from his poems, the author is known for his Bollywood reviews, interviews, articles and scripts. He has recently published his own Poetry collection titled as- A Love Letter to Death.

E. M. Bless’On III is a Writer, Poet and Social Commentator, whose work has been featured on the Ignite Talks circuit, Wales Millennium Centre, National Museum Wales, BBC World Service, BBC Radio Wales, ITV among other international networks. He is also an award-winning Broadcast Journalist, Producer and Presenter of a World News / Weather bulletin which is syndicated to about a dozen networks in the UK. His latest project a true-life anthology, "Bleeding Ink: Lost Life. Lost Friends. Lost Love." is currently out on at on Amazon.
