A conversation with a person particularly equipped to speak with authority on the case of BRADLEY MANNING.

Knowledgeable, experienced and with an empathetic insight into the sacrificial role of the whistleblower, Craig worked as a diplomat for 20 yrs before his career was forcibly ended when he found the compromise of the British and US governments with the murderous Karimov regime in Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan was of strategic importance to the 'War on Terror') to be unconscionable, and accordingly spoke out against this.

Craig is able to address the background issues relating to Bradley's case with reference to the wars, as well as talk about whistleblowing from a personal perspective, and he is a compelling speaker, so if you think a 'talk' sounds dull, think again! 

Also present will be GUY SMALLMAN, photo journalist, whose exhibition AFGHANISTAN: TEN YEARS ON we (BMSE(W) are hosting at Central Library, The Hayes, Cardiff.  Guy has returned repeatedly to Afghanistan, engaging with people and places ignored by other western media.  For instance, Guy is the ONLY western journalist to have visited Granai, scene of the NATO airstrike (footage of which Bradley is accused of releasing) which killed 147 people, 95 of whom were children.
