A tale of arson, abduction and the fall of a royal court, Ynys Gwydr: Island of Glass is a gripping account of the area’s turbulent early medieval past
The production uses the music of Handel set to new words devised in community workshops in order to tell the story of the destruction of the royal residence of the Kings of Brycheiniog built on a man-made island in Llangorse Lake. Professionals, community singers and students will all work together to portray this exciting tale.
This unique project has been supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council Wales and the Heritage Lottery Fund

Yn stori o losgi bwriadol, herwgipio a thranc llys brenhinol, mae Ynys Gwydr: Island of Glass, yn dweud stori gyfareddol gorffennol cythryblus yr ardal ddechrau'r canol oesoedd.
Mae'r gerddoriaeth yn defnyddio cerddoriaeth Handel ar eiriau newydd a gafodd eu creu mewn gweithdai cymunedol er mwyn dweud hanes dinistr preswylfa frenhinol Brenhinoedd Brycheiniog a adeiladwyd ar ynys wneuthuredig yn Llyn Llangors. Bydd pobl broffesiynol yn y maes, cantorion cymunedol a myfyrwyr i gyd yn cydweithio i bortreadu'r stori gyffrous.
Cefnogwyd y prosiect yma gan y Loteri Genedlaethol drwy Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru a Chronfa Dreftadaeth y Loteri.
