Event Description

My first solo theatre show.

"

Are Alcoholics really better writers? Does depression make your poetry more beautiful? Is bipolar disorder essentially a performance enhancing drug for stand-up comedians?  This one-man show is a mixture of acting, physical theatre and stand-up comedy, using personal (medical) history, conversations with friends and better artists (in various mental states) and some stuff James read in books to investigate the millennia-old phenomenon (Phenomena? No. Phenomenon, surely.) of the ‘Tortured Artist’. Is it a useful, true and/or dangerous idea?

Open Platform Show supporting new and emerging companies and artists"
