How do you know when you have become a man?
Is it about how many pints you can down in the pub? Being sexually active? Or being able to provide for yourself and others? And who are today's male role models?
Frank and Brent are 25 and 26, and don’t have a clue if they are men yet.
‘You’ll be a man’ is a project supported by WalesLab, National Theatre Wales’ artist development initiative for new ideas for performance.
We’d be delighted if you could join us for a sharing of Frank and Brent’s work – the result of a week-long residency with WalesLab. The Sharing will take place at the Sherman Theatre on Fri 10th Oct at 3pm.
More information on the artists:
Frank has been performing and writing since graduating in 2011. His main focus has been performing spoken word poetry, exploring a variety of themes including honesty and areas of vulnerability. He has performed around the UK and runs his own spoken word poetry night, Word 4 Word, supported by NTW TEAM.
Brent has been making experimental theatre, performance art and pervasive games since graduating in 2009. He creates memorable theatrical experiences that make a direct impact on the audience as opposed to giving them a passive experience. At the heart of all the work is honesty and truth.
As space is limited, please RSVP to Simon Coates, by Thu 9 Oct.
