Hi Ladies & gentlemen,

Not to make this too social networking but is there any way of putting other photos up on the site rather than just one photo? For past productions, that either us actors have worked on or other Headshot photos, could probably be quite advantageous. Or for directors shots of film work they've done or photos as well. Just a thought.

Am new to this site so I might be sounding stupid if it's up here already. If so, can someone give me directions please?

Thanks
Ed
Hi Edward. There's a couple of ways I'm aware of. The most current approach on here is to create a blog post - that's what a lot of people do - you can paste as many images as you want into a blog by clicking the little camera item at the top. However, I think there's a new way that's been added recently too. In your status box at the top of your profile you can click to create a link, where you could link to a photofile in flickr, or to your CV if it's online etc. There may be other ways. Tom Beardshaw and Carl Morris - who are the designers of this site will be able to let you know if you message them on here. All the best, John
Cheers John for the message. Will look into it.

Hi Edward.

A really cool way to display your photos is to use Flickr. If you put all your photos into a "set", they you can create a slideshow that you can put into a post. Here's how:

Just go to the set and click on "Slideshow". Then you'll get to a really nice slideshow interface (no one does photos better than Flickr!). In the top right hand corner of the screen you'll see a link called "Share". When you click that, you'll get a 'link' code and an 'embed' code. Copy the embed code and paste it into your message - as John says, a blog post is a great way to share your content on here.

Here's a demo:
I went on a trip to Havana recently, and I uploaded some photos to Flickr, and put them into a set called "Cuba" - here's a link to the Cuba set. If I click on 'Slideshow" and grab the embed code and paste it in below, this is what we get:

Tadaaa! You can change the size as well if you're into tinkering with the code - just change the values for width and height (they occur twice, to handle the peculiarities of different browsers).

The slideshow is a great way to display photos - and you can go full screen with it to get the maximum visual impact.

Hope this helps. We are planning to create a new help section on the site soon - once the launch busyness is finished. We'll be sure to include this topic.
