Hello there,

As many of you may know, I'm about to begin a series of 36 experimental, totally improvised, unscripted and unplanned performances in Swansea and Cardiff. Details on dates, venues and tickets can be found via Taliesin - www.taliesinartscentre.co.uk - and Sherman Cymru - www.shermancymru.co.uk

As part of the experiments, I'm really interested in looking in a fresh way at the issue of simultaneous translation in performance and am looking for actors and performers who would be interested in joining me for an experiment in either Swansea, Cardiff or both.

The idea would be that the Welsh speaker would join me as part of the presentation and would translate what I'm saying for any Welsh speakers in the audience - whilst at the same time working as an improviser and performer in their own right - interacting with me and the audience in the moment but always in Welsh (which I'm ashamed to say, I don't speak).

Obviously this is not for the faint hearter but I think it could be huge fun and really interesting and exciting.

So, if you're a Welsh speaker and are interested in learning more about the project and possibly taking part, then contact me via this discussion or via my blog: manoneeye.blogspot.com or Twitter: @manoneeye

Thanks muchly,

Phil Ralph
