Do you think Twitter are risking feature bloat?

Hi all, and welcome new members!

Do any of you intend to go to one of the the AMA's Creative Copywriting workshops in Jan? Has anyone been before and if so, what did you think?

I'm intrigued...

A warm welcome to James Thomas the latest member to join our group, great to meet you at the AMA tweet up at Milgi in Cardiff a few weeks ago. We have a few active discussions on the group (see above) have a rummage around it's pretty interesting stuff.

Jen, many thanks for your reply and information about the process. Social networks are funny like that - much content is interconnected through links and functionality. Be great to have the forums reinstated, in the least in the groups. Also, there was a great forum discussion created by Guto from Elfen about Marketing in the Arts. Be great to also have content like that archived somewhere. Thanks again, I hoped you'd look into it. Kelly

Hi guys,

We know that the discussion forums have gone and we're working on a solution. As Marc said, the Group forums still exist and all the content can be viewed via the link below or through the search function. It was an unexpected consequence of the re-design that that they no longer show so we're looking at the best ways to keep discussions within the groups. Will keep you posted :)

Marc, many thanks, I've noted the link. Agree things often overlooked as so much to consider. I'm wondering if by removing the "forums", has also removed the discussions for each group, or if done separately. Probably an oversight. When it comes to the redesign of a social network though, caution should be made when removing any content, especially that created by members. Social network site design is very different to most media/website design. The company is not the only creator/owner of content and deleting someone's discussion or posts is not the way of community. For example, there were discussion in this group that were deleted when it was renamed. A tad controlling. I look forward to seeing the content/links reinstated.

Hey Kelly - you can find the list by adding /forum to the group address ie: http://community.nationaltheatrewales.org/group/artsmarketing/forum

But the links should be added back to this landing page. The idea of all of our conversations happening on this wall is too grim to consider.

I'm sure it's just an oversight. There are so many elements to consider in the way a site like this works, it can't be hard to miss something.

Marc. This appears to have happened for ALL the groups? Where have the links to the discussions in the groups gone. If they still exist, does this mean 'we' (group members) can't start new discussions? Can you please reinstate the discussion sections for the groups please.
