The World Of Work

The World Of Work

“Dark, naughty and painfully well-observed…I laughed harder than I have for years in the theatre…Powerful and arresting in the giggly extreme, I am a huge fan.”  Emma Rice (Artistic Director, KneeHigh)

It’s Katy’s Birthday!  Please join us for drinks, nibbles and awkward silences.

Blow the horn,

Bang the drum,

It’s not a party until you come!

“Funny as F**k.  Laughed all the way through”  Audience Member

The World of Work is about being alive and never having done the doing.

Inspired by ‘living’; getting up every day, talking to the cat, awaiting a visitor, receiving letters of rejection and slowly losing the will to live, providing an acute commentary on modern relationships, career paths and coping with a seemingly invisible social hierarchy. This darkly comic and absurdist piece scrutinises feelings of inadequacy and questions how we measure success in the modern world…
