We're all gearing up for our new Christmas show - it's going to be office party themed and will be hitting City Road on December 1.

It's also great news that we can welcome some more people into the Dirty Protest fold. The last performance was the first with the talented Matthew Bulgo as one of our core producer/director/Dirty P-er.

Now we have managed to up our talent when it comes to the design and set management team with the addition of Bethan Dawson and Poppy Armitage both RWCMD students and we're really looking forward to working with them

It's 2011 and the smell of scandal is in the air.

A 24 hour news cycle is obsessed with the underhand and the corrupt. The tabloids, the politicians, the police, the private investigators - but who is writing the plays about it?

Well, Dirty Protest will be this summer.

Celebrating its fourth birthday the Welsh theatre company returns with a night of new plays all dedicated to Scandal.

We have five established writers and one cherrypopper on board to write six new short plays and give their own take on the topic of scandal. What they chose to write about and the angle they chose to take, well that's just up to them.

Two performances planned for Milgi's Yurt, Cardiff on Thursday August 18.

Writers included

Foster Marks
Lisa Parry
Aled Roberts
Sian Owen
Katherine Chandler
Cherrypopper - TO BE ANNOUNCED

There will be TWO chances to see this night only.

Tickets to be purchased at Milgi from 6pm on the night

Looking for something to do this Friday, come see some new work from three companies including Dirty Protest

We're really excited to be taking part of the Wales Millennium Centre's Incubator project this Friday night at 8pm

We've been working with the amazing writer Colette Kane and are developing a full length play of hers titled, I know how I feel about Eve.
...If you came to our last Roundhouse, London and CAI night, you will have seen a shorter version of the play, which Colette has since began to develop as a full piece.
The performance follows a couple as they come to terms their grief as they go through the process of cloning their lost child.

Starring: Eiry Hughes, Gareth Pierce and Alys Thomas

We'd love you all to come along and give us some feedback/your comments to help steer us all with the next stage of development....all dirty ideas are very welcome

PLUS you don't just get us you will also see two more pieces of work from Nick Janaway and Laura Moy and also Ben Partridge.

There's loads more info on the WMC website

Tickets are £6 and we'd love to see you there

having trouble getting your play read? not famous enough for the big guns? a bit too edgy for the rest? or just never sent that big idea to anyone? then fear not. Dirty Protest is here.

If you have a play that needs a little help standing up, and would like to workshop it with professional actors, Dirty Protest can help. We're looking for a full-length play, to produce a staged reading of, along the lines of our last full length staged reading - The Bells of Shoreditch. We plan to offer 2-3 days workshopping the play before rehearsing, and staging in front of a paying audience.

We are looking for a play with more potential than polish, that has minimal staging requirements, with a realistic cast size, and around 1 hour in length. As ever we operate on a shoe-string.

Send your plays to by 20 June
