KING LEAR

A dystopian adaptation of one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies.

Inspired by 'broken Britain' and the summer riots, looking at power-play in a new context, where paranoia is justified and madness is all too natural.

In a post-apocalyptic Britain, where society has crumbled and criminal gangs control the ruined cities, 'King' Lear leads a gang of survivors.

Disillusioned, he gives up power to his two brutal daughters, leaving him at their mercy.

Meanwhile, ex-policeman Gloucester is tricked by his feral illegitimate son Edmund. In the chaos, a storm breaks over the city. For some, the world will end...
