Script Share

Helo pawb, I’m Josh, and this TEAM group – Script Share – is for new writers who want to share their work with each other and support each other through the process of creating new scripts for stage, TV, film or radio.

Basically, Script Share is a participant-led group for new writers – free of charge and open to all. The group has been set up to provide a space for new writers to build and lead their own script development programme, sharing their work with each other, offering feedback, motivation and moral support, and mentoring each other through the process of writing full-length scripts.

The group will meet every two months, sharing instalments of their scripts with each other before the session. The only condition for joining Script Share is that you undertake to mentor another member of the group. You can support each other in whatever way helps – setting exercises, collaborating on scenes, just bouncing ideas off each other – as well as giving constructive feedback on each other’s scripts during Script Share sessions.

This will probably be the basic template – but the shape of the programme is quite open at this stage, so that members of the group can work out together what direction they want it to go in. For example, whether they want Script Share to work towards a showcase night, or feature guests/professional writers/directors/actors for readings at some sessions. Writers of any level of experience and from anywhere in Wales are welcome to join.

Hopefully the first meeting will take place over the summer. Join this group if you are interested in coming along and helping to create a new writer-led script development programme. And watch this space for more updates!

Hello one and all

I hope you're all well. Over the festive season i'm looking to get my creative juices flowing so if there are any budding scriptwriters out there who have written a script and are looking for readers then by all means send them along to me, I'll read ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Being an Actor i'd just like to re-visit that feeling of reading a story from scratch and trying to find the character's voice within me.

Please email them to me on here or to franklynjacks@yahoo.co.uk I mean it literally ANYTHING.

Have a lovely Christmas and New Year

This sounds fantastic. I am writing my first real script so to put it to action would be great. This will help motivate me!

Hi Josh, where would you be meeting up? I'm Leicester based but get back to the family in North Wales whenever possible. If I'm not able to make it to meetings would you accept email submissions for feedback? I've been an actor for twelve years now and developing my own ideas and would love to get honest feedback on my work. Love the idea of bringing new writers together!

Splendid initiative! I've recently become frightfully excited about a radio play competition on the theme of horror, but the scariest thing so far is the thought of putting the first idea down.
