From the team that created our startling version of Aeschylus’s The Persians on the military training ranges of mid-Wales, the story of Caius Martius – Coriolanus – is re-imagined in the era of 24-hour news, of celebrity culture, and of a new global politics.
In association with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Commissioned for the World Shakespeare Festival, which is produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company for London 2012 Festival.

Sausages and Shakespeare - a sibilant success,
Hey Lucy. The "forgotten host" is one of my favorurite moments too. I remember pleading for it's survival in a moment of doubt during an early reading. In that one brief exchange I see his kindness as a tiny and fragile boat, skittering on the foaming sea of his hubris. He is at the same instant objectively aware of it and swept away from it as the waves plunge him forward.
Great poster
I think my favourite moment in the play is the tiny moment, after battle, when Coriolanus asks his generals to help / free the poor man who looked after him - in whose house he "lay" - but forgets his name - it's a gorgeous curious touching thing, but then forgotten...
can't wait to see it!!
Loving the costumes
