So exciting! Sitting in the Weston Studio as the lights are being rigged and focused. The show is going to be wonderful and we can't wait to see people here and hear their feedback! This is truly an exciting time!

Ladies and Gentlemen! I am really excited to invite you to book tickets for our first production 'Unprotected' by Bethan Marlow. Directed by Sarah Bickerton and performed by Rhian Blythe and Gareth Milton. Unprotected follows Violet, who, having left home embarks on a life with no boundaries, she can now do anything and be anyone - it's like playing a game! But, as soon as she starts playing with that mysterious thing called love she discovers that the lines are blurred, the rules uncertain and a question rises- who's in control? It plays at Wales Millennium Centre’s Weston Studio on 8th and 9th December 2010 at 8pm. Tickets are available from www.wmc.org.uk or by contacting the Box Office on 029 2063 6464
The quicker you book, the cheaper it is (8quid/10quid/12quid)! Would be great to see you there! Vx

CALL FOR TRUSTEES!
To perform the role of Trustee, attend Quarterly Board Meetings, be a member of a sub-committee, to be committed to proactively supporting the Company, its work and the Theatre sector

We are a small theatre company with a clear vision – to develop and produce thought provoking, accessible theatre with the focus on telling women’s stories. Our structure allows us to work and collaborate with a number of theatrical practitioners , in a number of different styles and genres. We are currently working with 2 exciting playwrights: Bethan Marlow and Melissa Manteghi. We are currently seeking funds for our first production as we have secured co-production from Wales Millennium Centre. This piece was developed as part of WMC’s Incubator Project, is written by Bethan Marlow and will open in December 2010. Our work in schools, colleges, youth projects and youth theatres is intrinsic to us as it not only informs our work but allows us to meet, work and share experiences and skills with young people. We seek to challenge modern theatre audiences as well as nurturing a new generation of artists and art lovers. The company is based in both Cardiff and London.

We are looking for individuals from the Business and Commercial sectors eg Business Development, Publicity/PR, IT, Sales and Audience Development etc who can support us in this quest.

Our website is www.velvetensemble.co.uk if you wish to see and read more about our work.

If you or someone you know might be interested, please get in touch!
