Hi everyone, I'm doing some market research and I've put together a super quick 10 question survey on Survey Monkey about what you like to see at the theatre and would really appreciate it if you could take part. It's very short and takes about 30 seconds of your time. You can find the survey by clicking HERE!

Thanks! x

Caerphilly County Youth Theatre Seeks a New Director!

Caerphilly Arts Service is looking to recruit another director to run one of the weekly workshops.  The workshops will be based at the Crosskeys Campus of Coleg Gwent.

Sessions will take place from 6-8pm every Wednesday from 9th January 2013, but the director will need to be available to meet with the group on some Wednesday evenings during December 2012 to start the transition.

We are also looking for theatre tutors who can offer skills building workshops in specialist subjects such as technical theatre skills, choreography and so on.

If you are passionate about youth theatre, are enthusiastic, energetic and approachable and have ideas about productions that the group could work towards then we would love to hear from you!

For more information about these opportunities please email Arts Development on artsdevelopment@caerphilly.gov.uk with a CV and your expression of interest by Friday 30 November

About the meeting on Tuesday 27th November 2012, 11am - 5pm Sherman or WMC (TBC), I cannot attend daytimes in the week.  I would love to get involved with this. Especially so, as I am in the initial stages of the long journey to form the 'British Impro Games'; the national youth impro tournament.

Submit your proposal by Monday 29th October 2012

After four exciting democratically-elected Assembly projects in south, west, mid and north Wales, we are now looking for proposals for a SuperAssembly which will take place in December. We’d like to create an event which will culminate in a conversation with national and international resonance.

SuperAssembly Video

Proposals are invited from all communities, groups, companies or individuals who have an issue they’d like to explore through this performance debate project. Some of the recently Assemblies have explored the relevance of supermarkets, cuts to local NHS mental health provision and the community surrounding a local park.

If you have an idea for a SuperAssembly event anywhere in Wales, submit your proposal by Monday 29th October 2012. Proposals should be relevant to the local community but have a national or international resonance.

To find out more about the previous Assembly projects, visit
the Assembly Group on the National Theatre Wales Community.

For more information, and to submit your proposal

FREE drama lessons for children aged 6 - 16 in CARDIFF!

Hi all, just thought you may be interested to know I have recently set up my own free drama club called Media Academy Drama based at Media Academy Cardiff in Bute Town.

Media Academy Drama helps children gain skills in team building, acting, character development, physical development, communication and improvisation. It will also help build their confidence, self esteem, concentration, self discipline, imagination and creativity. It is perfect for children who have an interest in drama or who just want to make friends and have fun! We welcome and accommodate all abilities.

Classes run every Saturday at 11am - 12.30pm for children aged 6 - 11 and 1.00pm - 2.30pm for older children aged 12 - 16. Our first class was last Saturday and was extremely successful.

We already have a number of children for the 6 - 11 group but do not have as many for the 12 - 16 group so would love some more young people on board! If anyone knows of anyone who is interested please feel free to email at ronnie@mediaacademycardiff.org.

Thank you!

Ronnie
