A little more about me:
I write (mostly poetry) and teach creative writing at Cardiff University. I grew up in Dublin and lived for a time in the US and Germany before settling in Wales. My latest book is a collection of poetry called Insistence, published with Bloodaxe Books in 2018.

My previous collection with Bloodaxe is Imaginary Menagerie (2011). A poetic text in collaboration with S.J. Fowler, Subcritical Tests (2017), is published by Gorse Editions, and a chapbook, A Fictional Dress (2009), is published by Tall Lighthouse.

My work has been collected in various anthologies, including The Wake Forest Series of Irish Poetry, Vol IV (Wake Forest UP, 2017), Identity Parade: New British & Irish Poets (Bloodaxe, 2010) and Voice Recognition: 21 Poets for the 21st Century (Bloodaxe, 2010). I am currently the holder of a Writer's Bursary from Literature Wales.

I'm really interested in performance and have put much thought and practice into performing my poetry. I've travelled to perform it at readings and festivals in South Bend, New York, Boston, Paris and throughout Ireland and Britain, and my work has been translated into Polish, Greek and Portuguese.
