A little more about me:

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2011 with a Philosophy BA, and have since been working in theatre as a director and playwright.

I have most recently worked as Assistant Director on Paul Ferguson's Listen (The Etcetera Theatre) and on Philip Ridley's Tender Napalm (UK tour - to Manchester Exchange, Newcastle Northern Stage, Leicester Curve, Hull Truck, York Theatre Royal, Plymouth Drum - and London Return to Southwark Playhouse). This also offered the amazing opportunity to work with a Le Coq trained Movement Director. I have also Assistant Directed at Italia Conti Acting School, working with the third years on their Film Project.

In March I directed a short play which I had written for Scratch @ The Jack at The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre. In June I directed a site-specific a rehearsed reading of "Outside, The World Continues", a new political play exploring the ethics of power and resistance, the subjectivity of the news, and the fallout from the ‘surveillance society’.

I have volunteered with various theatres and companies, including Chichester Festival Theatre and Headlong. I have participated in workshops and Masterclasses with Kathryn Hunter, Ian Rickson, Rupert Goold, Lucy Prebble, Nicola McCarthy, Jane Fallowfield and Clare Slater.

I wrote a one-act play which reached the final ten in a national writing competition (found through the BBC writersroom website) which I then directed in Cardiff. I had two scripts progress to the heats in Frapetsus Production's Writer's Block competition, one of which reached the final. Both were competitively performed in Swansea's Grand Theatre in October and November 2011. In 2012, I wrote a short play for Bush Bounce 2 called 'Torque' about the relationship between a deaf man and a hearing woman, which I am currently developing into a full length piece. I also had a short play performed at Rich Mix, directed by Lisa Cagnacci, as part of Made From Scratch's Festive Scratch Night.

My passion is for New Writing. I have produced an event for which I co-headed a team of writers and directors, and showcased seven, original fifteen-minute plays (to which I contributed as a writer and director). I also script read for ScriptSpace, a company dedicated to developing new writers and their work.

Projects I’m working on:

I am currently working as Assistant Director to Ricky Dukes on Lazarus Theatre Company's upcoming production of Oedipus at the Blue Elephant Theatre. I am also working with a professional mentor assigned by IdeasTap.com to develop the short script performed at The Bush Theatre last year into a full length play.
