A little more about me:
Ben Lunn was born at Sunderland Hospital, 21st October 1990. His first musical experience was shortly after his parents moved to Ramsgate, Kent, where he received his first music lessons in the local Salvation Army hall in Margate. After hard practice he moved onto the Euphonium, which is where he acquired most of his talent for music and his first taste of composition.

After learning theory a bit more deeply, he started showing a real ability to compose writing for small ensembles, and exploring methods of creating music. He then wrote for a wind band who would perform a piece of his work in Canterbury Cathedral in 2009, and this is where he started to show real talent. He is currently studying composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with tuition from Peter Reynolds, Lynne Plowman and Robert Spearing.

Hi Ben,

Welcome to the Community. It's great to see you here!

Have a look around and get stuck in. The best place to start is by joining a group. I recommend checking out the Creatives Group (which is looked after by Matt Ball, Creative Associate). There is also a Musicians and Singers Group which may be of interest.

You can also Write a Blog Post to update the community, or start a debate, or see what's on today and add your own events in the What's On section

As usual it's best to just dive in but if you have any questions, do give me a shout.

Jen
