Fancy a Nordic LARP?

Hi!

So larp stands for Live Action RolePlay.

I'm trying to spread the word about and recruit interested players for some Nordic larps, to be played in South Wales. These kind of larps are played in black boxes (or studio spaces) with very little props, no costume and a set-up/narrative that's much closer to reality than your regular…

The Fashion of working with Community.

My 'Llaneski' Waleslab has just come to an end and as part of the work I had to feedback to NTW about what I discovered and how it has/will affect my personal practice.

'Llaneski' was a project where I and a team of creatives worked with a group of Polish teenagers from Llanelli to give them an opportunity to express themselves, their voices and their experiences in a creative way- mainly through dance and art.

I had originally hoped to work with the…

"Get to know me before you judge me"

I've started my Wlaeslab project, 'Llaneski'- a project that creates a platform for the Polish community of Llanelli to express themselves creatively. I want to hear what they have to say and then discover a way of collaborating with them in making a piece of something creative.

I'm sorry if it sounds vague, but right now it's exactly that. I'm not going to decide what it will be, what it will look like, sound like or feel like. This project is about developing my…

Hey Bethan

I'm the puppeteer you met at some conference or another.  I was talking to Dev and he was saying you had been doing projects with the Polish community down your way.  Well we were waning to do the same u ere - mixing the tale of Melangell (who hid the hares up her skirts) with Polish woman Irene Sendler (smuggled hundreds of children up her skirts in WWII) i'd be interested in chatting to ya about the project and the one about queer birmingham ;) fanx jo

Bethan!

Thank you very much! My beautifully-packed bottle of Rioja (mmm!) arrived. I am a happy man.

Good luck!

No, I'm not there on Thursday but then, neither am I worried. After all, fine wine only improves with age doesn't it? Rather like directors, in fact.

Hello Bethan,

I am in Cardiff at the 6.30pm Paines Plough workshop this Wednesday (30th) if that's helpful.

Hope this is your inbox, Bethan. Not totally sure how to navigate this site.

Anyway, thanks for the prize though I hardly think my effort deserved recognition. I must say that red wine would be my choice but I may be a bit too far for a personal visit, nice though that would be. I did live in Knighton until last year but now I live just over the border near Bishop's Castle. My address is Avenue Lodge, Linley, Bishop's Castle, SY9 5DT. Phone 01588 650780

Best wishes,

Mick
