Profile Information

What I do:
I was born in Hereford in 1983 and this was the place where my passion for the arts developed. I have always been interested in the creative movement that performance brings to the stage. After successfully finishing a two-year course in Art and Design I went on to study Theatre Design at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Since graduating in 2004 I have worked consistently with some of the most established companies in England, Wales and Europe. I was also a finalist in the prestigious Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design 2005. Throughout my career I have been influenced and interested by all types of performance and have experience in designing for musicals, contemporary and classical plays (including Shakespeare,) dance, physical theatre, opera, circus and also youth and educational projects. My recent designs include: Miss Brown to You and Gulliver's Travels (Hijinx Theatre Company) Moll Flanders, Canterbury Tales, The Importance of Being Earnest and She Stoops to Conquer (Mappa Mundi) Big Bad Wolf, Action to the Word 1,2+3, Beyond Words, Read a Million Words, Me a Giant, It Will All be Over by Christmas, Cyrano de Bergerac and Bankrupt Bride (Theatr na-nOg) Il Viaggio, La Casa Sull’ Aqua di Flora Mariani, Bebele and most recently Pedro Paramo Is Dead (Elan Wales/Italy) A Midsummer Night's Dream, Javier Maria and Me, The Twits and Koan (The Point Young People's Theatre) The Marriage of Anansewa (Theatre Royal Plymouth) Immortal 2 & 3 (NOFITSTATE Circus) Kes, The Borrowers, Stig of the Dump, Educating Rita and The Adventure’s of Alice in Wonderland (The Courtyard Theatre, Hereford) Carry on Down the River, Golden Valley (New Theatre Works) Guys and Dolls (Sherman Theatre) Candide and The Calling of Maisy Day (Welsh National Youth Opera).
