What I do:
Writer, Peformer, Singer, Director , Producer, Film Dabbler, Curator and Academic.
A little more about me:
A bit of Carrie History....

After graduating from Drama School in 2001, I began my career with Glasgow Repertory Company in Bard in the Botanics. Performing Shakespeare as outdoor site-specific productions inspired me to incorporate Theatre Found Limited in 2007 and Found Arts in 2010. I directed and produced 'found' texts in what I call 'site reflective spaces' with our company for the next ten years; producing work for Historic Scotland, Scottish Refugee Council, Glasgow Museums, BBC Wales, National Museum Wales. We would adapt plays to the current socio- political climate and find sites which reflect the atmosphere of the play. I collaborate with various local and international companies developing site reflective theatre pieces in Cardiff and Glasgow predominantly, however I also work with Teatro Di Nascosto, Italy.

As a freelance artist I have worked professionally in theatre and film as a performer and writer for over twenty years. I currently perform and co-curate immersive multi- media events with Cardiff Contemporary Arts Collective tactileBOSCH. This work includes a new enterprise with National Museum Wales where I am the consultant with NMW on their Museum Lates programme and mentoring young actors and designers at Welsh College of Museum and Drama.

In 2018 I was writer in residence and performed with Republic of the Imagination at Chapter Arts Centre in Gravida, which will tour in 2020.

I was recently (2017) commissioned by BBC Taster to develop and produce an interactive film, based on stories from the Homeless community of Cardiff.

I am dedicated to using the arts to discuss 'personal responsibility’, 'social justice' and 'human rights'. I am interested in personal testimony and creating texts that represent the life-stories of people living their life; sharing their stories in whatever medium they feel is appropriate.

I make short films; theatre, deliver theatre training (teach at Cardiff Metropolitan University and Cardiff University)
