Profile Information

What I do:
I'm a classical soprano, currently teaching at Stagecoach and also working with respected professionals within the industry.
A little more about me:
I've been lucky enough to have sellout performances at the Sherman Theatre, Wales and the Roof Gardens in Kensington for their classical season of Proms on the Roof.

I've also worked as a judge for the UK's largest musical theatre competition, Star of Stage, alongside West End's Connie Fisher and Classical Brit Award winner, David Mahoney of Only Men Aloud. I've performed many roles over the years, including Juno in Shakespeare's The Tempest at the Wales Millennium Centre. I'm currently working with fantastic industry folk on my debut album release.

I've performed a variety of emotive operatic arias by the likes of Puccini, Handel, Bellini and Verdi with the Welsh Sinfonia Orchestra, conducted by Emmanuel Siffert and Antonio Gabriele. I was also lucky enough to be shortlisted for the Decca Records "Voice for Wales" classical competition.

I aim to deliver strong character driven performances which has led me to work for Disney composer, Alan Menken, as a soloist and ensemble member for the new hit US Musical Comedy, Galavant, on ABC Comedy. I have also auditioned for the principle role of Christine Daae for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera in the West End...that was an experience!

I've worked as an actress in film with the late Ken Russell and for television in such programmes as; Merlin, Doctor Who, Switch and Being Human for the BBC, as well as a voice over artist for the latest NSPCC campaign. I've also recently enjoyed working with Aardman Animations as the lead role for their latest commercial (tba).

Discounts for Performers Headshots and Portfolios!

Hi everyone!

My photography company Larklight Photography specialises in performers headshots and portfolio sessions and is offering all of you lovely lot a special discount!

I have found, during my time as a working performer, that it is very hard to find a photographer who can capture the true me in one click. Every performer, whether that be; an actor, dancer, singer, comedian, presenter or musician, needs a headshot. An actor’s headshot is one of the most…

Hi Claire,

Thanks for the add. I'm quite new to the site so trying to get to grips with it. I also only just finished my studying for my degree so I'm finally able to breathe and focus on this.

Best,

Joe

Hi Claire how are things since Valley and Vale ?
You could get involved with all of the outreach activities NTW are running in Bridgend at the moment if you are interested ?
There is a chance to be part of a preshow chorus or there is a new Young Critics scheme which gives young people training and a chance to comment on the show
Let me know
Guy

Well my dear, I'm not doing any acting work at the moment still attending workshops with Peter Woodridge although I have been seriously concidering applying to an acredited Drama/Acting School as this could open up career doors for me. In the meanwhile I will very much look forward to catching up with you when you have finished your work at the eisteddford. You have given me some great feedback on my headshot I'm glad you like it and if you need any up-to-date headshot's of your own in the future I would recommend Sheila Burnett.
