- Wrth edrych yn ôl ar ein hamser dros y blwyddyn diwethaf rydym yn hynod falch gyda’r hyn rydym wedi’i gyflawni!
Dechreuom ein preswyldeb yn y Sherman gyda Chwarae / Play, cyfres o weithdai datblygu proffesiynol wedi’i anelu at artistiaid lleol a chreawdwyr theatr. Roedd hwn yn gyfle gwych i gyfarfod a chydweithio gyda’r gymuned greadigol leol ac i ddatblygu ein hymarfer ni fel dyfeiswyr. Fe greon ni sioe newydd sbon, Ti.Me a gafodd ei berfformio mis Medi diwethaf i theatrau llawn. Byddai hyn wedi bod yn amhosib heb gefnogaeth llawn staff y Sherman a’u hadeilad a hoffwn gymryd y cyfle yma i ailadrodd ein diolch i’r tîm.
Roedd Ti.Me yn gynhyrchiad eofn dwyieithog yn uno theatr a cherddoriaeth byw â oedd yn archwilio cariad a’r blerwch pan mae’r cariad yn chwalu. Roedd yn archwiliad pryfoclyd, corfforol a heriol gan ddefnyddio profiadau personol y cast a’r tîm creadigol. Yn dilyn sgyrsiau dechreuol bositif gyda hyrwyddwyr rhyngwladol, rydym yn edrych i deithio Ti.Me yn rhyngwladol, gan hyrwyddo gwaith Gymraeg ar lwyfannau yng Nghymru a thu hwnt.
Rydym nawr yn edrych ymlaen at ein cyfnod olaf o’n preswyldeb a beth all hynny gynnwys. Cyffrous iawn! Rydym am barhau i ddatblygu ac archwilio syniadau newydd ar gyfer prosiectau addawol ynghyd â sioe newydd, a chario ymlaen i weithio gyda thîm y Sherman.

Looking back over the last year we certainly feel we’ve crammed a lot of Pluen projects in!
We kicked off our residency at the Sherman with Chwarae / Play, a series of professional development workshops aimed at local artists and theatre-makers. This provided a great opportunity to meet and collaborate with the local creative community and develop our own practice as devisors. We created and toured a brand new show, Ti.Me which we performed last September to sell-out audiences. We couldn’t have done any of this without the full support of the Sherman staff and their building and we would like to take this opportunity to reiterate our thanks to the team.
Ti.Me was a bold bilingual fusion of theatre and live music exploring love and the messiness when that love disintegrates. It was a physical, provocative and challenging exploration of relationships using the personal experiences of the cast and creative team. Following initial and positive conversations with international promoters, we are looking to tour Ti.Me internationally, promoting Welsh work on stages in Wales and beyond.
We’re now looking ahead to the final stage of our residency and what that might look like. Exciting times! We will continue to research and develop new ideas for potential projects as well as a new show and will continue working with the team at Sherman.
