I am an actor, theatre maker, and musician originally from California and currently based in London, having recently received my Master's degree at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
As a performer, I thrive working in ensemble-based and intensely collaborative processes across genres and mediums. I have performed on stages as diverse as The Kennedy Center, the Romanian Embassy, a gazebo in a small town park, and the living room of a disused townhouse. As a choral singer and flautist I have performed at the Sydney Opera House and the White House. In New York City, I have worked with The Flea, 600 HWM, The Barrow Group, Primary Stages, and Wombat Theatre Company, among others.
As a theatre maker, my interests lie at the intersection between culture, politics, history, and global conflict. I am passionate about exploring humanity in extreme environments and investigating questions of citizenship. I am currently devising with London-based ensemble Tacky Pioneer (@tackypioneer) - our inaugural production Astronaut Battery premiered September 2017 at the Chelsea Theatre in London.
I hold a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, concentrating in Culture and Politics. While at Georgetown, I earned the Department Award for Interdisciplinary Excellence from the Department of Performing Arts.
I am an alumna of The Bats resident acting company at The Flea Theater (Off-Off Broadway), under the artistic direction of Niegel Smith, and a former Acting Apprentice at The Barrow Group, under the artistic direction of Seth Barrish and Lee Brock.
I am of mixed Chinese and Caucasian descent.
