Profile Information

What I do:
Artist
A little more about me:
I consider my work to be semi-autobiographical treading the lines of portraiture. I am interested in depicting moments of internal dispute, the untold narratives and the layers of perspectives taking place in situations.

I like to play with new mediums and processes usually relating back to photography and video. I'm interested in working collaboratively with people to produce short films.

I also work with Volcano Theatre as their marketing and admin officer, I have a NTW community profile that is about my work with them. http://community.nationaltheatrewales.org/profile/ErinRickard
Location:
Swansea
Projects I’m working on:
A series of videos developed during my artist residency in Belgium early 2014. Some of the videos touch upon ritual, which was a central theme in my last project "A Blue Process". This new series will also be touching on the topic of communication and the act of protecting ideas that communities hold important. Focusing on the concept of home, the act of belonging and (un)grounding.

Hi Erin, great to hear from you. It definitely makes sense to split the two profiles as you have done. We don't have a survey at the moment as we're still talking about the process - we might have one to come, but if you have any thoughts let me know and I'll add them to the discussion.

Hi Erin. It's great to hear more from you about your own work, as well as Volcano Theatre's. Let me know if you need to know anything more about the community - we're currently going through a development process for it, so now's the time to make any changes you'd like to see.
