Profile Information

What I do:
Actor/writer/director
A little more about me:
I am an actor/improviser/writer/director. I make a living primarily as an actor, but recently directed a play (Wake) for the first time at the Union Theatre in Southwark. I speak Welsh and I grew up in the 80s in Caerffili. I particularly like Joe Orton, Dylan Thomas, Howard Barker, Sarah Kane, Sarah Waters and Virginia Woolf. I have also written a rambling picaresque novel set in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Empire, but I mostly write short stories for my long-suffering Facebook friends.
Location:
London/Caerdydd
Projects I’m working on:
The play I am currently working on, In Murus, uses parallel stories to explore the collateral effects of conversion therapy – and issues around depression, masculinity, persona and counsel.

My previous play, Shallott, explored similar themes around identity, using the structure of Tennyson's poem.

I am currently embarking on my next play, which looks at changelings – specifically, Titania’s relationship with the Indian boy, although I expect it will also end up being about identity!
