A bionic artist, avid follower of NTW since meeting with several of their members in the Empty Shops Project, Newport.
A little more about me:
I am an artist and teacher. In the past I have worked with Hoo Theatre Company on the London Fringe helping to produce plays by Lorca and others. My main role was set and prop design. We toured the plays in the Latchmere Theatre, the Theatre Museum in Covent Garden and the King's Head Islington. Sean Connery and Derek Nimmo attended. I was kissed by Sean Connery!
Location:
Newport, South Wales
Projects I’m working on:
I came up with the idea for a festival celebrating the life and works of Caerleon born author Arthur Machen. It will be the 150th anniversary of his birth in 2013.
I have been working closely with Newport TEAM which includes Caerleon Scribblers, Tinshed Theatre, University of Wales Newport, Hole in the Wall Theatre and other enthusiastic people. We are in the process of organising the festival to be held in 2013. I am producing artwork and other material to raise awareness of Arthur Machen in the local community. I am also involved in the creation of a website, www.hillofdreams.com , for this Arthur Machen festival.
I have also recently started a blog based on my research into a number of subjects. Please take the time to read it. I hope you find it educational!
