Profile Information

What I do:
Writer / Producer
A little more about me:
I produce web content and short films as part of Taffsploitation, a group of writers and performers dedicated to producing comedy shorts for the internet. Recently we have produced "Cynic" a web series based around the life of disabled comedian Ted Shiress which was nominated for the Raindance Webfest Discovery Award in 2014.

I have also recently written a short film produced in conjunction with HiJinx Theatre Company. "47" tells the story of a young man with down's syndrome fighting for independence in a world over run with zombies (who won't eat him because of of his extra chromosome).

I am currently developing a feature length film about an autistic 14 year old boy obsessed with Hollywood romantic comedies as well as a play about physics, love and jazz.
Location:
Mountain Ash
Projects I’m working on:
CBBC New Voices Initiative: into the final 25 of the 2015 programme. Attending a two day course at the end of February.

Cynic (Producer): A web series written by disabled comedian Ted Shiress. It charts his life fighting against people's perceptions of him and the fact he's a total arsehole.

Doctor Eli (Producer): A web series written by Tim Collins about a damaged man who has withdrawn into himself, leaving behind the strange as bizarre Doctor Eli.

End of Line (Writer): A feature length film set in the summer of 1996. A mildly autistic 14 year old boy has to deal with his first true love armed with only his knowledge of Hollywood romantic comedies. Was placed in the top 10% of the BlueCat Screenplay competition 2015.

Take the Atom Train (Writer): A play about jazz, physics, and all the quantum madness between. After crashing his car John isn't sure if he's experiencing the afterlife, an hallucination or something his physics doctorate can't explain. Whilst travelling through his hazy memories John tries to reconcile love and science.

Hi Paul,

You're booked in to Dirty, Gifted & Welsh - time is now on the blog.

Please remember to bring enough copies of your script and arrive in plenty of time for your slot.

All the best and good luck!
