A little more about me:
We formed Yr Hyddgen Hanes Gwerin Theatr Cymunedol, Torfaen/Gwent, (The Stag, Folk History Community Theatre, Torfaen/Gwent) 5 years ago.
I worked for Ancient Cwmbran researching the pantheon of Cymreig Goddesses and Gods it took me to places in my research that I would not of gone to normally,it was as though the ancestors were guiding me to find her signs.
I have worked on several excavations which helps our folk lore/History, by finding facts of the Mabinogi in the digging in the earth that were clues from passages of the book.
Yr Hyddgen, the aim being that the group is to promote Welsh Literacy, culture and History through interactive community theatre events using bilingual education.
We are straeon chwedl the tellers of the past. It is our duty to tell our heroic tale as a people, listening to the echoes of their deeds found in literataure unread and not taught. We must teach Hiraeth the soul song of our people, our land that tells us this, we once were strong, we know our identity so lets travel back in time to when she that is the land remembers, even if most have forgotten,we will reawaken them to the beauty of the story.
