Jim Lucason here. In Ireland I am represented by Michael O'Hare and in America I do my own hoofing. I reside half year in America - (Texas and Connecticut) and the other half in Dun Chaoin, Ireland. For The NATIONAL THEATRE'S consideration: The Prisoner. It will have its World Premier at the O'Casey Theatre in Dublin on May 17th. If you might get a chance to attend please let me know and some tickets will be left for you. It is looking for a future slot with THE NATIONAL THEATRE OF WALES and a Welsh World Premier. Another play The Rapparees won the Eamon Keane Playwright's Award at Listowel Writers' Week and and was later produced in Ireland. I have worked at The Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, MFA from Brandeis University, appeared at Great Plains Theatre Conference etc. I have worked with Constance Welch, William Gibson, Arvin Brown, and Norman Mailer. I am a former member of NYC Actors' Studio Playwrights & Directors Unit, member of The Dramatists Guild of America, and appeared in Siobhan McKenna's American directorial debut of The Playboy of the Western World at the Long Wharf Theatre. My plays, which have been produced in America and Ireland, contain the English and Irish languages. I believe the play fits nicely with THE NATIONAL THEATRE OF WALE's director/actor driven outlook. Attached find The Prisoner, a synopsis (found at the beginning of the play), and my CV. I hope you will consider it as a possible future production. My play Dancing With The Devil is in development with Aston Rep in Chicago moving toward a 2016 production as is The Last Rightboy with Eager Risk Theatre in NYC. I look forward to hearing from you.
The development of a play entitled THE LONESOME DEATH OF AARNE O'QUINLAN. NOTE* Although this play is set in Dun Chaoin it can easily be transferred to the Welsh coastline. It is something I would like to share.
