What I do:
writer, community worker, filmmaker
A little more about me:
I was raised on Lake Ontario, but have lived in North Wales all my adult life. I write fiction and scripts under an amalgam of my grandmothers' names: Luned DeSimon. My family has Italian and Welsh heritage.

My work has been published in a variety of UK and N.American literary magazines including Innovations, The Lampeter Review, Visual Verse, Litro, The Lake, Stand, Scratch, and Ink, Sweat & Tears.

My poetry and scripts tend to focus on Wales and social realism, as well as sacred place within Wales.

My first poetry series was published in 2013 by Alyn Books: On Track/ Poems from Welsh Pilgrimage. This was inspired by my commissioned "long walk" across South and West Wales in 2012 for the Cultural Olympiad, to explore the ancient pilgrimage routes into St Davids.

Images from the pilgrimage walk and the poetry were the subject of a North American tour in 2013, and I shared my poetry at the North American Festival of Wales in 2014 (Minneapolis, MN).

New poetry and multi-media performance, Well Spring, is inspired by holy Wells in Wales and their natural and mythical settings.

My fiction and script work is much darker and is concerned with social realism, questions of identity; the blurring of borders, and unpopular choices. See The Tender Margins by Luned DeSimon, The Lampeter Review, Issue 7.
Location:
Mold (Flintshire) and Kidwelly (Carms)
Projects I’m working on:
Well Spring- new poems inspired by the holy Wells of Wales in their natural and mythical settings. Multi- media performance starting in February as part of The Tales We Tell www.thisproject.co.uk

First feature film script in development with London-based Amaranth Films (Forsaking All Others)

I am also writing my first stage play Pinched to Order, set in Prestatyn and following the lives of three women women "who don't mean to offend, they are just trying to make ends meet."
I would really like to work with the National Theatre of Wales in this play's developmental stages.

I write fiction and scriptwork under an amagalm of my grandmothers' names (Italian and Welsh) Luned DeSimon. I write poetry and make films with my own name.

If anyone wants to contact me about a writing project in 2015, please do.

many wishes for happiness, for this season and for 2015.…
