Profile Information

What I do:
Multimedia Performance Artist
A little more about me:
Using a collaborative approach to performance making, my practice aims to explore the relationship between physical and vocal means of communication through transgressive means.

I’m currently researching juxtaposition and how the body can offer us opportunity’s to contemplate topics such as gender, sexuality and power structures within a performance context. The accumulation of field recordings; documented physical movement and freeform writing inspired from site visits aid the realisation of the work.

Presenting group and solo performance’s my process aims to continuously reflect on how to better express to an audience the topics which seem most relevant.
Location:
Swansea
Projects I’m working on:
Currently in collaboration with CJ Ashen, dancer based in Swansea. Our research is around using choreography as a means for debate.
'Murmurations' a movement based workshop with a focus on collective action with Claire Francis and GS Artists. Exploring performance through online platform zoom.
Currently involved with Perform/Print - A residency run by performance marker Stephanie Black Daniels and printer Edward Bruce exploring the relationship between performance and print.
Working towards performance at Glasgow International later this year with artist Wassili Widmer and others.

Looking to start a live arts space in Swansea later this year please get in touch if you are interested to hear more about this or would like to get involved/give any suggestions.
