I am a professionally trained actor who founded Pigtown Theatre Company in North Wales four years ago. I currently create and deliver educational drama workshops in schools which support and enhance the national curriculum. Pigtown works in partnership with Conwy council and has also worked for Afaisic Cymru delivering a speach and language project to schools in North Wales.
Mochdre, Colwyn Bay
Projects I’m working on:
Our current workshop'Them & Us - Meet the Invaders'is being delivered in schools across Conwy, offering pupils an insight into the power of social identity and the conflict that can arise when cultures clash. This workshop is designed to support the teaching and understanding of human conflict. Related topics include PSE, The Romans and Welsh history.
I will also be supporting Conwy council with 'Book Quiz' performances. Going in to schools and assisting teachers with their presentations, enhancing and polishing the work or directing and encouraging where required.
Hi Victoria. Thanks for your message. It's a shame you are not able to make workout and skill swap this week. But don't worry - if the demand is there we will try to bring it back again in 2015. I'll pass on to TEAM that you would like some things more easterly as well. Keep in touch, and maybe add @ntwskillswap in Twitter and we'll see if we can get you involved in any virtual skill swaps. Emma
Thank-you for joining National Theatre Wales TEAM and welcome.
Its great to have you as part of the community. Keep your eye on the group for any opportunities that come up and please let me know if you would like to be involved. Also look at what other TEAM members have been up to across Wales and keep us up to date with what you guys are up to with Pigtown Theatre Company.
Welcome to the Community! It's great to see you here.
Have a look around and get stuck in. A good place to start is by joining a group. I recommend checking out the Creatives Group (which is looked after by Matt Ball, Creative Associate) or the Producers Group (which is looked after by Lucy Davies, Executive Producer).
