Mess Up The Mess is a professional youth theatre company, based in Ammanford, but working with over 300 young people across South Wales. Since 2005, Mess Up the Mess has been working with disadvantaged and hard to reach young people, using theatre and the arts as powerful tools to engage and empower them to make their voices heard. From small-scale issues-based workshops and preparation for work training to large scale projects which address difficult issues confronting young people today, Mess Up The Mess challenges young people to believe in themselves and their ability to make their world a better place.

Life chances, creativity and diversity are at the centre of the work process, with an equal commitment to artistic excellence, professionalism and reaching a wide audience.

MUTM is recognised as an effective and successful youth theatre, both in artistic terms and as a pioneer in the creative engagement we have with our young participants. While building on our proven strengths, we are also continually breaking new ground in response to our participants’ imaginations. Always mindful of our core values and aims, we seek to discover ways to use our skills to access new income streams, build on our recent successes, and reach even more young people.

We are again at a key point in our Company development. We would like to expand our Board, bringing in more Members whose experience, skills and enthusiasm will help us to achieve our aims.

We’re looking for Board Members who can support the organisation to become more sustainable, enhance our levels of expertise, bring fresh perspectives and challenge where appropriate. In particular, we’re looking for forward-thinking individuals who have skills and experience in the following areas:

• Finance and /or legal
• Community and/or local government
• Marketing and communications
• Fundraising and sponsorship
• Strategic planning and development
• The arts and cultural industries
• SME business planning and development,

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are committed to improving young people’s futures, and enthusiastic about the potential the creative arts offers them to flourish. The typical time commitment is approximately half a day per month. The position is unpaid, however reasonable expenses can be reimbursed.

To find out more about becoming a member of our Board of Directors, please email us at info@messupthemess.co.uk.

Cwmni theatr ieuenctid proffesiynol yw Mess Up The Mess ac mae wedi'i leoli yn Rhydaman. Mae'n gweithio gyda dros 300 o bobl ifanc ledled De Cymru. Er 2005, mae Mess Up The Mess wedi bod yn gweithio gyda phobl ifanc dan anfantais ac anodd eu cyrraedd, trwy ddefnyddio'r theatr a'r celfyddydau fel offeryn pwerus i ymgysylltu â nhw a'u grymuso, fel bod eu lleisiau'n cael eu clywed. O weithdai bach yn seiliedig ar faterion penodol, a hyfforddiant paratoi at waith, i brosiectau mawr sy'n rhoi sylw i faterion anodd y mae pobl ifanc yn eu hwynebu heddiw, mae Mess Up The Mess yn herio pobl ifanc i gredu ynddynt eu hunain a'u gallu i greu byd gwell.

Mae cyfleoedd mewn bywyd, creadigrwydd ac amrywiaeth wrth galon y broses weithio, ac rydym yn ymrwymo yr un faint i ragoriaeth artistig, natur broffesiynol a chyrraedd cynulleidfa eang.

Cydnabyddir Mess Up The Mess fel theatr ieuenctid effeithiol a llwyddiannus, a hynny yn yr ystyr artistig ac fel arloesydd yn yr ymgysylltiad creadigol sydd rhyngom ni a'n cyfranogwyr ifainc. Rydym yn adeiladu ar ein cryfderau profedig, ond hefyd yn torri tir newydd drwy'r amser mewn ymateb i ddychymyg ein cyfranogwyr. Cadwn lygad gofalus ar ein gwerthoedd a'n nodau craidd ar bob adeg, ond ceisiwn hefyd ddarganfod ffyrdd o ddefnyddio'n sgiliau i gael mynediad at ffrydiau incwm newydd, i adeiladu ar ein llwyddiannau diweddar ac i gyrraedd hyd yn oed mwy o bobl ifanc.

Unwaith eto, rydym ar bwynt allweddol yn natblygiad ein Cwmni. Hoffem ymestyn ein Bwrdd, gan ddenu mwy o Aelodau y bydd eu profiad, eu sgiliau a'u brwdfrydedd yn gymorth i ni gyflawni ein nodau.

Rydym yn chwilio am Aelodau Bwrdd sy'n gallu cefnogi'r sefydliad i ddod yn fwy cynaliadwy, i wella'n lefelau arbenigedd, dod â phersbectifau ffres at y bwrdd a herio lle bo'n briodol. Yn benodol, rydym yn chwilio am unigolion blaengar sydd â sgiliau a phrofiad yn y meysydd canlynol:

Cyllid a/neu gyfraith

Cymuned a/neu lywodraeth leol

Marchnata a chyfathrebu

Codi arian a nawdd

Cynllunio a datblygu strategol

Y celfyddydau a'r diwydiannau diwylliannol

Cynllunio a datblygu mentrau bach a chanolig

Yn anad dim, rydym yn chwilio am bobl sydd wedi ymrwymo i wella dyfodol pobl ifanc, ac sy'n frwdfrydig am botensial y celfyddydau creadigol i’w helpu i ffynnu. Mae'r ymrwymiad arferol o ran amser, tua hanner diwrnod y mis. Ni chynigir tâl, ond gellir ad-dalu treuliau rhesymol.
