A 7.30am start to the morning would not be the beginning of an amazing day for me but yesterday was different. We travelled (pretty quickly i must add) all the way from Cardiff to London. This was our first rehearsal as part of the ensemble for NTW newest production. On refelction everything was amazing, my fellow ensemblers are deffo people who under normal circumstances would become friends with they each individually are amazing people and i am honoured to work alongside them. Walking in…

Hello!
I'm trying to create an online directory for arts events in Newport.
I want to cover absolutely everything, from community craft workshops to Opera in the Riverfront.
I'm doing this on an entirely volentery basis. I feel strongly about the arts in Newport, I see so many amazing and facinating things going on but with such piss-poor attendence. People often say "I didn't know it was happening" I'm hoping to erradicate this…

Currently I am trying to find suitable shows for a small venue - or two - outside Wales. Early stages, so I can't really divulge details at this point, BUT does anyone know of small-scale productions that could take place in a limited space? Welsh content would go down well in this place, but really I'm looking for anything that is good!
If anyone knows of anything, please would they contact me at kjelsdon@gmail.com?

I would really like to work with a group of women to develop a script for an idea I have. There is no money (apologies) but I promise Chocolate Gateaux and anything else edible or that you're able to drink. I would like to do an impro day working around the themes of my next play. If you have read the book 'Like Water for Chocolate' that could help but if you haven't don't worry. I think at least 5/6 actresses would be great - location for a rehearsal day would possibly be either a home…

As you probably know, NTW is a pretty small organisation doing some pretty big work. To help us stay organised and plan for the future, we're recruiting a new role - Director of Administration and Development. The job does what it says on the can - and it's a senior role working alongside me and Lucy. We're really excited about recruiting this new role. Do take a look yourself or pass the info on to anyone who looks like a good candidate. Here's the info:
Director of…

Hi everyone!
I'm a London based director and have been developing PALLBEARERS, a feature film set in the Rhondda Valley, over the last 14 months with a writer called Giles Gartrell-Mills. We're now at a stage where we would love to organize a table read in order to see how the dialogue flows - and maybe have some input from people who are actually from the South of Wales!
The table read will take place on Saturday, the 11th of February in Cardiff, from 11:30 till about…
