Older actor needed.

Hi there my names Rowena and I could do with your help. I'm currently writing a new play called Bad Education. I need a male actor aged between 45-55 to be the central antagonist.

This is a highly challenging part and it would take a certain amount of emotional toughness to play it.

This will hopefully be part of an r&d process.

PunchDrunk Design workshop

A couple of weeks back, I popped into the NTW office...I can't remember why but it might be to make good use of the flowing supply of tea and biscuits.

While I was there Dev said I should go to a design workshop by Punchdrunk, and so a I did!

The workshop was held by Livi Vaughan and Beatrice Minns who designed Punchdrunk and National Theatre's latest show …

1st Slide Reel for my project Editing My Father

A couples of weeks ago I was shortlisted for a group exhibition interview.  To my surprise they were interested on this project.

Will the real Tom Jones please stand up? Third Age Critics Review of Tom - A Story of Tom Jones

Even if no claims to impersonation have been made, audience expectations are sure to run high when dramatising a living legend. Sky high when that legend is Tom Jones, who is not only alive and well, but appears on prime time TV every Saturday night looking sharp as nails.

Tom Jones really is one of Wales’ greatest exports, and Theatr Na Nog’s production (in partnership with RCT and NPT Theatres), Tom - A Story of Tom Jones, opened most…

Beginning with some questions, ending with even more

I have had an exhausting week as part of my WalesLab adventure. I started out last Saturday wondering how I might begin to go about making a piece of work about my mum, possibly with my mum, when she lives in Ireland and I live in Wales. The distance between us became the fertile ground on which we based our week of research: we travelled together from Ireland to Wales by ferry.

I had another question st…

Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...

Over the last few weeks, we have had fun. Quite a lot of fun to be honest. Slowly, but surely the Dylan Thomas Centenary has been taking shape and our contributions have gone well. We have been lucky enough to realise that completely by chance all of our contributions have been in pubs...We have done pub tours in Mumbles and Swansea and a succession of Poems and…

Young Critics Review: Theatr Na Nog presents - A Story of Tom Jones

The Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd and what better venue for Theatr Na Nog to perform Tom – A Story of Tom Jones, than in his home town in the South Wales valleys. On Thursday the 7th of March I travelled to this intimate venue, which is well known for its musical ventures alongside theatrical debuts to see what Theatr Na Nog had spent months perfecting ready to showcase.

The story begins with Thomas Woodward, played…
