Helen Gwyn

I'm a former student colleague from C F Mott College in Liverpool of Helen Gwyn, formerly Helen Rees Jones, who I believe spent some time with the National Theatre of Wales in the early 1980s. A group of us recently got together for a reunion and it appears nobody is now still in touch with her. It would be great to hear from her, or from anyone who knows her.

Ironic

Ironic that being a theatre director , performer and maker it all gets too  busy, all at once, and it is hard to get to actually see other pieces of theatre, events and shows. Managed to catch On Bear Ridge at the Sherman but that is a  4 hour round trip. Wanting to see Monolith at the Principality Stadium but booked and working  on those days.

i should post up our events as we have 3 or even 4 lantern parades ending up with the 4th Cardigan lantern parade that attracted over 10,000…

On Bear Ridge in London . David's musings a few hours before the London Preview

Just round the corner from the Royal Court is 23 Cliveden Place, the home of Nye Bevan and Jennie Lee.    As I walked past this address on my way to The Royal Court I realised that perhaps Wales was not so very far away.

Some may question placing such an intrinsically Welsh story onto a London stage but just as Bevan saw the universality of the lessons he learnt in Tredegar, so are the subjects that Ed Thomas addresses in On Bear Ridge.  We are all subject to forces that we…
