The Fashion of working with Community.

My 'Llaneski' Waleslab has just come to an end and as part of the work I had to feedback to NTW about what I discovered and how it has/will affect my personal practice. 

'Llaneski' was a project where I and a team of creatives worked with a group of Polish teenagers from Llanelli to give them an opportunity to express themselves, their voices and their experiences in a creative way- mainly through dance and art.

Waleslab R&D: revelations!

Yesterday afternoon, my lovely Waleslab project collaborators, Sam Fox and Chris Dugrenier arrived from the midlands for a pre R&D week visit.

#ntwbackstage - training

This week the NTW production team, along with our friends at Theatr Gen, West Ent, Telgwen and some of our regular freelancers have been on an IPAF training course at Nationwide Platforms. The training was to enable us to use and drive Scissor lift platforms and mobile boom platforms.

We all passed thankfully! Look at me driving this one and my concentration face...

It was a good day and I hope to be putting my training to use at some point with our Year 5…

The Big Democracy Project - Cardiff

Brilliant/Manic/Eye Opening/Heart-Warming/Grounding/Sad/Hopeful/Proud

These a few words that spring to mind when I think of the Big Democracy event that took place at Oasis Cardiff a few weeks ago.

 

This time an idea to explore identity and democracy was put forward by Oasis Cardiff, an Asylum and Refugee centre. This is an issue that is close to my heart and once the ideas was chosen by the public I couldn’t wait to get stuck…
