So since I finished with NTW a few months back I have been busy quietly thinking about how I takeover the world.....................
Only playing, I have been busy working on various projects and thinking of how my career unfolds over the coming few years. There is much to ponder and many opportunities that have arisen and many that have sailed by. However I am keen to understand and investigate my role and place within Arts and Cultural…

Running over the course of two nights I was able to attend the performance of ‘Age’ on Friday 14th of June at Chapter Arts Centre in Canton, Cardiff. The production was part of the program Re-Live who specialise in delivering life story documentary work, and in particular with this fascinating collection of people sharing powerful snippets from different milestones of their life journeys.
‘Age’ is a group of 10, very…

A big hello from Anglesey and Summercamp,
Also a shout out to the sunshine that has made an appearance today in Trearddur Bay. So my project here started out as a very vague idea about something to do with something that was to do with childhood memory and wanting to be a mermaid when I was little. I started to research into the idea of mermaids and what it was about them that made the mini me want to be one so much and came across some very exciting pages about…

It was a bit of a climb, but I found some 3g.
It's interesting as Digital Associate to be removed from a strong wifi / data connection for more than say, 3 hours. It's fair to say that I'm not that great at being disconnected. And though I do advocate for taking time off from the internet every once in a while, when you're trying to get work done, or when you're on holiday, being with out 3g for large chunks of the day…

So, one of the reasons I agreed to do National Theatre Connections is that I'm not young anymore. I've got grey hair, or at least, flecked: a definite badger quality to my mane. And I find myself enjoying trips to John Lewis and comparing sofas. It's a sorry state of affairs and I think as a writer you need to try, at least, to keep a youthful sense of play. Not spend your Saturdays testing the quality of bounce on a settee.
I've worked quite a…

I'm not a regular blogger so please bear with me...
I'm part of the NTW Summercamp here on beautiful Anglesey and have also taken part in the DIY Festival this weekend, and just wanted to share some thoughts and work. The summer camp so far has been reallly interesting, particularly regarding the idea of process - I don't think I really got the knack of the camp until Thursday, if you can indeed get the knack of it. I started with an idea that I…

No matter how much we may complain when our grandparents decide to tell us all about the good old days AGAIN, I’m sure I’m not the only one who secretly enjoys hearing the tales of their youth. In an astounding display of bravery ten older people have decided to share their very best and worst moments with a room full of strangers. But this…

I've been in Anglesey since Monday, promoting Things I Forgot I Remembered, talking to anyone I could find about National Theatre Wales, manning the Holyhead pop-up shop and welcoming people to Theatr Fach on opening night of the show.
The week started with a beautiful view from our cottage, which is just outside Llangefni:

Here's a peek at one of the films Hugh Hughes made whilst on Anglesey, which played a huge part in the show that he made, which is now on at Theatr Fach, and will next week be on at Canolfan Ucheldre. Hugh's Nain would say "Never think that what can you do is too little" - so on that note, what shall we do?
