NTW Office - Holyhead

Following on from Mike's Week One blog........it is now half way through week two in the NTW Holyhead Office.  The weather has taken a turn for the worst...not sure Sweet Dreams is going to be selling many Knickerbocker Glories this week - even at £3.50.  Julia, however, has managed to bag herself two great charity shop purchases though and the Internet Cafe does a great latte so all is well.

Anyway, rather than writing about it I thought you might like a photo montage of the sights…

The whole experience is like a mini music festival every night that once you are in it you don't want it to end. Every night is different even…

Return Journey

It certainly wasn't 'a cold white day on High Street' today, but the 'try-out' of Return Journey worked very well - I hope that the attendees were as pleased with the show as we were.

“Why should sex and relationships be a taboo subject once you reach 70?”

“Why should sex and relationships be a taboo subject once you reach 70?” says performer, Terri Morrow “It’s not like you suddenly reach a point where all you want to do is play bingo. This show is giving us a chance to express that as you age all your emotions, desires, hopes stay with you. For me, life is getting better and better. I'm happier at 70 than I ever was at 30"…

A complex, challenging piece for an opera novice…

Despite attending the pre-performance talk, expertly given by the Nick John trainee, Sophie Rashbrook, in which she emphasised the unusual usage of electronic sounds and the uniqueness of this 90 minute opera, I still took my seat expecting to hear fine, fluid melodies and to feel moved by the storyline or, at least, the plight of the… Continue

Reality is a many layered thing

I've been thinking a lot this last week about layers as I've been trying to articulate what it is that's so magical about Hugh Hughes returning home.

So, here's Llangefni (this shot is a perfectly illustrative image, taken from the Courtyard of the Bull Hotel, Llangefni). It's a town that has been standing for hundreds of years. Let's turn the lens of time to the…
