3rd AgeCritics.Insight into research & development process,Rasputin, Ripples to Revolution16th July.Marcia Humphries.

Welshman Peter Karrie is internationally famous in musical theatre. Having played Lloyd-Webber’s Phantom more often than any other performer, he began to see parallels with the life of Rasputin. He researched and became fascinated to the point where he has written a musical based on the life of the Russian mystic. A little salute for Drury Lane

This idea is, undoubtedly, not unique to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, but it deserves applauding nevertheless.

So, we've been down in London holding auditions.  As you do, when you're in the Big Smoke, thought I'd catch a show.  Managed to wangle a disabled and escort seat for Charlie and the Chocolate…

Digital as a new Performance Space

There's a lot of 'digital' going on in the arts at the moment - in productions, in communications, straddling the two, augmenting our live work and standing in and of itself. I read an article earlier about an iPad app which has been created as an entirely different type of performance space for dance. Rather than trying to replicate or augment the experience of a…

Newport International Airspace

We've just started something new in Newport. With the support of Arts Council Wales, National Theatre Wales TEAM and Newport City Council we have begun a new arts collective called Newport International Airspace. It's a name that just stuck with us and it looks good printed across our newly acquired cheque book. N.I.A. was been established off the back of The Meeting, a project procured and produced by local artists keen to change an empty high street space into a pop up arts centre last…
