WalesLab is open

We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for the first round of WalesLab projects.

 

Over the next five years, WalesLab will use the nation as a landscape for developing new theatre projects. Twice a year open calls will be published inviting theatre makers and artists from other disciplines, to apply for short residencies to develop an idea or piece of work. This is all thanks to significant investment from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

GradCo teams up with Coleg Powys to offer specialist Performing Arts training

Viv Buckley, Artistic Director of GradCo and former coordinator of Performing Arts at Gorseinon College has teamed up with Coleg Powys to offer a series of specialist Performing Arts vocational courses.

The courses will run out of Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon and start in September 2011.  Courses have been designed to suit a variety of needs and range from full time provision to part time.

Cardiff Director Wanted for Shakespeare Production

A Cardiff based group is looking for a Cardiff based Director who is willing to work with them for a couple of sessions on preparing for a Shakespeare production this winter. Someone with a detailed knowledge of the bard and who is willing to work with an amateur group.

The Mega Assembley Experience

Wednesday 27th July 2011 i arrive in the capital of our wonderful country and then immediately get lost. This is the best beginning i could of hoped for, to a brilliant couple of days in the company of some of the finest individuals to grace this earth. I arrived with the knowledge i would be a lucky performer in the eventual Mega Assembley on the saturday, two days to create 5 performances with three other unknown performers.
