Please read the previous blog to see the earlier days of our Journey :)
The next day, we went back to Wylfa Power Station and visited the information centre.
The man working at the reception was very nice and showed us around.
He said he was from Yorkshire and he'd worked there for 35 years.…

Please read the previous blog to know about the beginning of our Journey:)
Early in the next morning, I woke up suddenly, and thought about what I had just experienced.
I couldn't put into words to throughly express everything, but I felt helplessness for some reason.
I journaled asking lots of things to myself as I…

DAY 1 Today was our first rehearsal for The National Youth Theatre's 2014 production of "How Do You Eat An Elephant?". We started off with exercises to get to know each other and I must say the company this year is amazing. ... From our warm ups this morning and games that we played I can tell that we are going to become a really close…

Now I am back in Cardiff from our journey around Anglesey island looking for a red dragon.
Working in the studio with the other members of Undergroud Airport, I constantly remember what I have seen, learned, and experienced through our journey.
Everything we saw during the trip was inspiring and made us seek our direction even more.
We felt like all the fragmented bits and pieces have now come together for our story and we were amazed how it…

Well I wasn't convinced everything would go smoothly, but it did when we had a one hour procession around Barmouth on Wed 20th August as part of an Open Day Celebration at St Johns Hall Gallery. Somehow I agreed to be the person that made sure the back and front kept together and the traffic was stopped and the whole thing got round in the right time. I think next year (it's going to be an annual event) I need a ringmaster costume! You can see video clips of the procession in a playlist…

I mentioned before in my last blog that this was my first time ever working with a professional theatre company, so everything was new to me and I have very little to compare the experience to. How I came by the job was partly through luck and partly through a friend who was on their promotions team. But for me and to friends I told it was crazy to think that I was already…

Hello. I came back to Cardiff yesterday.
The adventure in Aberystwyth was very exciting!
Aberystwyth is very beautiful place!
The people are very kind!
I interviewed 9 person about "the memory".
They are tourists, students, professor, dancer and so on.
At first, I planned to…

I was sick and missed the first day in Cardiff. We travelled on the second day and I slept for most of the journey, unwell, disconnected. I woke as the minibus was negotiating its way along an impossibly narrow lane to the secret location, which I'd overheard people guessing. Correctly as it turned out: Dale Fort, in Pembrokeshire.
There has been a human presence on Dale Fort Point since the Bronze Age. But the current building, constructed 1853 - 1856, dates from a period of panic…

In the second week of NTWSummercamp 2014 I became faced with the question of how to make work in such a beautiful, secluded and peaceful place, whilst keeping a consciousness of the news coming in of heightening conflicts elsewhere in the world. I took the further question of 'how to respond' on a repeated walk through the landscape. From this dialogue with the landscape I devised actions, shot video diaries and wrote texts, and these were pieced together with memories from the film 'five…

I posted this letter on the Summercampers 14 facebook page a while ago but was asked to share it here too, so here it is (and the photo is I think by Josh Alan Trask and video installed at 'the jetty' by Jac Ifan Moore, Jack Furness, Dom Farelli) :

I've travelled to some far away places in my life, but before 2 weeks ago, I had never been to Scotland.
That all changed when I went to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and it was worth every minute and every hour of sleep lost!
Coming from a dance background, I feel like I'm always catching up with the world of theatre and sometimes one or two steps behind what's being created. After seeing 16 shows in under 3 days, I have definitely…
