Room to Read at Made in Roath Arts Festival

A huge thanks to everyone who took part in Room to Read in Cardiff on Saturday, creating an inverted mirror image of Penylan Library on the paved area outside it. Once again this outdoor read aloud event was a great success, with the beautiful autumn weather just adding a finishing touch to the warm atmosphere created by those who read and people who stopped to listen and look.…

Theatre in a taxi in Newport...

Saw this tonight. Really good idea and well worth a trip up to Newport. It's on every night, this week, I think. Would be good to see it in other Welsh cities, too.

Big night in the Big End

From the moment I walked into Hobos last night I was absorbed. The atmosphere, the music, the dancers in fancy dress and the buzz was intoxicating. The set was exciting, simple and beautiful and the performers did great things with a touching yet unsentimental story. A well deserved standing ovation. Thanks everyone involved for a great experience!

Love Steals is helping change things...

Something strange happened last night,

I went out into Bridgend. (This only happens once a year now - and that is an experience I tell you).

Gary's play really packs a powerfull punch, the young cast under John's heartfelt…

Young Critics in Bridgend: A Story

Watch this story to see what we got up to!

On Saturday 2 October we held a workshop in Bridgend for young people interested in theatre and cultural criticism. Ben Bryant, one of National Theatre Wales/Academi's New Critics, was there to help develop the Young Critics' skills as was Mogs, digital storyteller based in The Atrium - who helped me make this story about what we got up to that day!
