In states unborn, and accents yet unknown.

It's not easy, this conspiracy lark...

Performing in Fluellen Theatre's "Julius Caesar" has nonetheless been a joy, with a cast of energetic, creative (and depressingly YOUNG) actors forming the beating heart of the show.

Okay, so we all end up stabbing…

Bottled, TigerFace, NTW Pollinate, Other

What's it all about?

I don't know.

This week I've had plenty of time to sit and stew and do and not do. It's not only been really nice, but in direct contrast with last week where I moved around more than a hamster at night...

I'm going to do that thing I do and direct you to my personal blog page from here: …

Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...

Over the last year, we have been deeply involved in the DT100 Festivities. One of our shows is called, Reminiscences of Childhood, and is based on his fantastic collection of short stories, Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog. Earlier this year, it was filmed for a documentary by Telesgop in St. John's Church, Carmarthen. Here is a small clip of the show and the accompanying interview.…

Call to arms!

Hello all,

Next week I'll be curating an exhibition on the top of Jacob's Market, and we ahve some phenomenal works that are soon to be realised, however, it is just me and the artists at the minute! We're in dire need of an extra pair of hands, someone who is interested in exhibition installation including tech work and manual stuff. In particular, Artists Sara Rees & Richard Gravelle who are working on a large scale installation really need your help! I'll also need help…

Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...

Well, Return Journey has finished - it has been great being part of the DT100 Festival (and we continue to do so with more Dylan performances in October, November and December). Return Journey was attended by people from all over the world - literally - and it gives you an idea of Dylan's popularity and how this festival has highlighted Wales and Swansea in particular. Also, we have been lucky enough to get some great notices for the piece and it has increased our profile…

Flowers in the Dirty (gifted and welsh)

I submitted my script for Dirty Gifted and Welsh broken and bleeding. Not just emotionally.

During the course of writing 'Forest Boy' I sprained my ankle in a freak (drunken) accident (moment of idiocy).

That slowed me down alright.

As a result, I started to take an evangelical interest in the horticultural activities of my neighbours.

Every day, in one of my neighbour's windows, I would see a cloth Pierrot doll, slumped into the corner. He would always be in a… Continue

The NYTW14 Design Process by Cerian Wilshere-Davies

Cerian Wilshere Davies – The Theatre Design Process

Production Member on Residency with the National Youth Theatre of Wales. Aberystwyth Arts Centre. August/September 2014

The process has been fun but also very challenging. We began making straight away.

We spent many a day painting, cutting and ‘vinyling’ to create the futuristic Rubix’s Cube/TRON styled set.

We then started on making the theatre space. We put…

TEAM Party Rehearsals

Hi all. I'd just like to share with you the great day I've had sitting in on the first day of rehearsals for the up coming TEAM Party.

As well as having a lot of fun taking part in the creative process first hand, today has been a really useful experience for me observing the statergizing and devising of both Anna Poole and Kelly Jones in putting an event like this together.

A lot of effort, skill and inventiveness went in to todays rehearsal to find ways to convey what…

You'll Be A Man - Wales Lab Day 4

Hi so I thought I'd give you all a little up date on the project.

Let me start with saying how chuffed I am with what we have been working on and with how much fun we have been having in the studio space in the Sherman. Listening to great tunes and throwing a rugby ball back and forth and having lots of laughs. I have definitely felt like a big kid. Fortunately feeling like a big kid is really helping us explore the question of what makes a man.

It has been a…
