Week 6 Training with British Improvisation Theatre

I’m running Improv as a part of NTW TEAM every Tuesday, and have been attending a different Improvisation course in Bristol run by the lovely Tristan Hancock to brush up.

Medea Review. Adaptation by Mike Bartlett, Headlong Theatre, Sherman Cymru

Removing Mike Bartlett’s adaptation from its ancient Greek origins, this modern script is witty, fast-paced and exciting. When considering however that it’s based on a Euripides classic, the audience’s expectations are naturally heightened and are unfortunately, not necessarily…

SuperAssembly Winners.......

It has ceased to amaze me how close and quickly the voting on our Assembly projects seem to change.  However once again it went down to the wire and within the last few days and then hours the winning project changed hands a few times.  However we have now got a winner and I want to say a huge well done to proposal 3 and Elen Clampitt who is responsible for it.  Huge commiserations to the other 2 proposals especially proposal 5 and crew up in Wrexham -   well done on the effort.

Now…

The Meeting : Newport

The Meeting...

The Meeting...

What is The Meeting?!

Two weeks ago we had little to no idea. All we knew was that  The Meeting was about community, The Meeting was about a city, artists, collaboration, people, concerns, celebrations, ideals, attitudes and most importantly - Newport.

I've lived in Newport since 2005 and back then I remember feeling a great sense of comfort from the city. Having lived…

International Artists for De Gabay

Hello all,

Behind the scenes @ Utah Bride: Part 2!

Recently I watched a run through of The Utah Bride.

I was really struck at first by the stage design and how authentic it all looked... I felt like I’d stepped back in time into a traditional Welsh home.

You can check out my pictures below for an exclusive look at the production.

It was moving to see the story unfold, as Alice suddenly returns home one night, four years after running away to live the American dream. The relationship between mother…
