Within the first hour of my exploration of Rhayader during my Residency with PeerGrouP and NTW, I found myself sitting on a bench, in the sun, stopping. And listening. It’s noisy for such a quiet place.
The clouds above me were striped, like finger tips and toes that have spent too long in the bath…and there began my journey…30 minutes on a bench, with an instruction to find Smithfield Auction…mmm…Smithfield Market in London was my first thought - meat. Sure…

Hi All . I do not believe that an organisation called National Theatre Wales should be endorsing actors working for no money. An acting job paying 200 a week is surely in contravention of the National Minimum Wage , as well as being less than half agreed Equity minimum. I think as actors we all understand that sometimes we do stuff to be seen or to improve our profile or because though there is no money now there may be in the future. A company is today on the NTW website unapologetically…

Yn 'Response Time: Beneath the Surface' (prosiect Scriptography Productions yn yr Oriel Nwy yn Aberystwyth dros y penwythnos) rhywsut fe orffenais i fyny yn sgwennu yn Gymraeg. Beth yw'r gwahaniaeth felly? Dwi'n llawer yn fwy polite yn Saesneg, llawer yn fwy ysgafn, Mae beth dwi'n sgwennu yn Gymraeg yn llawer yn fwy unig, fwy gwallgof, fwy trist. A week in Rhayader.
I've never worked in a rural landscape before, usually I find my inspiration from the chaos of the city, abandoned buildings, people's manic lives, politic and the sound of the streets.
I was grateful to take the time off to go to Rhayader with NTW and dedicate a week to being somewhere different, meeting new people, learning from the long established Peergroup and having an opportunity to spend time challenging and thinking about my own practise and…

What a wonderful and challenging adventure I had in my home town of Rhayader with Peer Group and 9 inspiring artists from Wales and Holland.
The week has made me look at the place I live and its local people with a renewed focus and inspired questions that I had never considered before. It opened a dialogue with my community and allowed me to begin to make discoveries about what holds the community together, what separates it and how its structure has changed over the last 30 years.…

As most of you know probably know I'm quite into my spoken word and also my theatre, well a while ago I saw an opportunity on www.ideastap.com to combine the two. It was a competition to put on a show at the Roundhouse combining Theatre and spoken word, I applied but didn't have enough time to make a portfolio for the site so I was very doubtful I'd be selected, however I got a email when I had forgot I had even applied telling me I had been…
